The Fountain Hills Memory Café program is held monthly for people living with dementia (or other memory impairment) and their family care partners. Upon arrival, enjoy a coffee and pastry together while socializing with other attendees and their family care partners. Next, attendees with memory impairment are welcome to join in an engaging activity while their care partners gather in a support group. Facilitator led monthly meetings by Prestige In-Home Care. for family caregivers, adult children, and spouses.
Caregivers come from all ethnic, geographic and racial backgrounds. There are wide variations in the conditions of those who are receiving help, the kinds of assistance needed, the level of caregiver burden and self-perceptions of caregivers and their willingness to utilize the formal service delivery system. Remember the old adage, "Trouble shared is trouble halved."
Metabolism is more than calories; it's about how you move, sleep, deal with stress and more. Make your New Year's Resolution "To improve your overall health", knowing safe weight loss will naturally follow. Group leader, Diane Weissman, is a Fountain Hills based Nutrition Network trained coach.
