Golden Eagle Park

Golden Eagle Park is a 25-acre active recreation area adjacent to the Fountain Hills High School. The park hosts numerous activities and leagues throughout the year, including Little League, adult softball, senior softball, high school athletics, and drop-in sports such as basketball, volleyball, and tennis.

Park Reservations

All park rentals require a 24-hour advance booking. Rentals for Friday-Sunday must be made before 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Request a reservation online or call us Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at 480-816-5100.

Park Amenities

• 2 small Ramada’s with 4-6 tables (Octillo Ramada does NOT have a barbeque)
• 1 medium Ramada
• 1 large Ramada with 13 tables and 4 large barbeques
• 2 age-appropriate children’s playgrounds, 2-5 and 5-12-year-olds
• 2 lighted basketball courts
• 2 lighted sand volleyball courts
• 4 lighted multipurpose ball fields (reservations are required for ballfield use)
• 4 lighted tennis courts
• A horseshoe pit
• Restrooms
• Shaded picnic area adjacent to the sand volleyball courts

Golden Eagle Park was developed in 5 phases utilizing Town funding and grants and was completed in December 1998. The 25-acre parcel was donated to the Town by MCO Properties shortly after incorporation and became the Town’s first municipal park. The Town received nearly $1.4 million in grants from Arizona State Parks Heritage Fund to develop the park. Golden Eagle Park was recognized by the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association with the Outstanding Facility Award for a community under 60,000 in 1999.

Concession Stand

The Golden Eagle concession stand operates during tournaments and Little League games from September through May. The Town is currently under contract with the Fountain Hills Elks Lodge No. 2846, which is responsible for selling food and non-alcoholic beverages from inside the concession building. Please note that, during these times, no other vendors or merchandise sales are permitted at the park without town approval.
