Notice: 2026 Primary Election Date Change
Emergency legislation (HB2022) was signed by the Governor on Friday, February 13, 2026, moving the 2026 Primary Election to July 21, 2026. As a result, key election and candidate filing deadlines for the 2026 Primary Election have been moved up by two weeks. Candidates and voters are encouraged to review the updated election calendar to ensure compliance with the new deadlines.
Elected Officials
The Mayor and six Town Councilmembers are local elected officials. Fountain Hills has no term limits, so there is no limit to the number of times an incumbent may run for office.
- The Mayor is elected for a 2-year term.
- Town Councilmembers serve staggered 4-year terms.
