FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ (January 7th, 2025) - A new prefabricated restroom and storage facility is now open at Four Peaks Park.
Situated by the playground, the grant funded unit has four individual stalls, drinking fountains and a storage room for park maintenance. The facility was lifted by crane and put in place in the fall. Crews then connected sewer and water lines, as well as paved around the building prior to its opening January 7th. A ribbon cutting ceremony took place to mark the opening of structure to the public, which previously had to venture across the park to use the only other restroom.
The cost of the Four Peaks Restroom project is $500,000. This includes the building, grading, concrete work and landscaping. It is paid for by grant funding from the Land Water Conservation Fund and Arizona State Parks and Trails. The town only had to pay an $11,000 Surcharge towards this project.
This is a welcome addition to the park.
