The Town of Fountain Hills is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Pelton as its new Public Information Officer and Community Relations Director, effective Oct. 14. In this role, Pelton will oversee the town’s media relations, community engagement, social media channels, and other strategic communications initiatives.
“I’m excited to join the team and find creative ways to engage our residents, build trust, and showcase the incredible work happening every day to make and keep this community special,” Pelton said.
Pelton joins Fountain Hills after serving in a similar role at the Pinal County Attorney’s Office since 2021. A familiar face around the Valley, he is a former Emmy Award-winning journalist with ABC15, where he covered major breaking news, crime, and community issues. Pelton spent more than a decade in television, working in medium and major markets, including Indianapolis, San Francisco, and Phoenix. He looks forward to bringing a storytelling mindset to Fountain Hills, helping to highlight community successes and find creative ways to connect with residents.

A native Arizonan, Pelton is married with two young children and enjoys the outdoors, sports, golf, and spending time with his family.
