MCSO wants to inform you of increased scam attempts in the past week. What you need to look out for: The scammer is posing as an employee or deputy with MCSO and is saying the person he calls has an arrest warrant. The scammer attempts to get the person to avoid being arrested by having the person buy pre-purchased cash cards to avoid arrest. MCSO WOULD NEVER REQUEST PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE OR CONTACT YOU IN THIS MANNER.
If you receive a call like this, please notify the MCSO non-emergency number at 602-876-1011.
