Beginning on March 4, 2019, EPCOR will begin an extended water main replacement project in Sunridge Canyon. While this is an EPCOR project, the Town of Fountain Hills has worked closely with the company to ensure a minimal amount of disruption to affected residents who live near the streets impacted by the project. Residents are advised to be aware of roadway restrictions as EPCOR works to replace the water main along Sunridge Drive.
The following outlines the maintenance and detour schedule:
Section 1 is proposed to take place in the north bound lane of Sunridge Drive between Sunset and Desert Canyon. Only the north bound traffic is slated to be affected during this phase. This is scheduled to take place March 1st through April 15th.
Section 2 is proposed to take place in the north bound lane of Sunridge just north of the Sunridge Canyon Golf Course entry. At this time only the north bound traffic is slated to be affected during this phase. This is scheduled to take place April 15th through May 15th.
Section 3 will mimic section 1 in the fact that the North Bound lane will be closed and detoured through Manzanita, but the Southbound lane will remain open. The tentative schedule for this to take place is May 15th through June 15th.
The last phase is the Sunridge and Palisades intersection. It is proposed that the road will be closed on the Northbound Lane. Work is set to start after the last Tee time is confirmed with the golf course, or after the golf course is closed for the evening. This will be planned as evening/night work and coordination. Flaggers will be used during construction so northbound and southbound traffic can continue on Sunridge drive from Palisades. This is set to take place from June 15th through June 30th.
