The Town of Fountain Hills' Code Enforcement Division requests that homeowners and commercial property owners take a proactive approach to controlling their weed growth. Starting May 5, homeowners with significant weed overgrowth may be issued correction notices. The corrective notice will have a date by which compliance with the order must be met to avoid receiving a citation. The citations may result in a fine of up to $750.
Code Enforcement Officers work with the property owners and those who may have filed a complaint in a confidential, friendly, and understanding way. The officer will notify the property owner or tenant of the violation and will help them find a solution. The property owner or tenant will be given a reasonable amount of time to correct the violation(s). While most property owners or tenants comply after the first notification, those who do not receive additional notices.
Questions regarding code enforcement matters or issues are welcome. Town residents or business owners can report concerns by calling 480-816-5193 or using the Fountain Hills Connect citizen portal.
