The Town of Fountain Hills is in the process of developing a new Downtown Strategy and seeks feedback from residents and businesses to help formulate a strategy for development of the downtown. Over the next six weeks, Town staff will be sending a series of surveys that will focus on various topics.
The Town of Fountain Hills launched a series of 2024 Downtown Strategy surveys on Tuesday April 2, 2024. The second survey will be open through April 19, 2024.
This second survey as part of the Downtown Strategy includes land use. “Land use” is a term that is used to describe the different purposes land may be used for. Downtown Fountain Hills includes a variety of land uses including residential, retail and office.. The Fountain Hills downtown area is located east of La Montana Drive, west of Saguaro Boulevard, and north of El Lago Boulevard.
Questions will focus on gauging the attributes and challenges that face the Downtown area. Types of businesses, special events, and experiential activities are all key concepts that will be included in this survey. It should be noted that this survey is an integral part of the Town’s Downtown Strategy initiative. This initiative was included in the adopted 2023-2026 Community Economic Development Strategy. The survey results will be analyzed by Town staff. Additional surveys will follow, to prepare for the Town’s Downtown Strategy public open house scheduled for May 15, 2024.
